"The Nancy M. DiMino Scholarship"

In order for us to receive, we must first learn how to give. - Maurice DiMino

Understanding the principle of sowing and reaping. Maurice DiMino has set up a scholarship in his mother's name.

His mother, Nancy M. DiMino, was a house wife. In today's fast paced world this may not be considered all that glamorous or productive. What Maurice learned from his mother far outweighs all the riches in the world. She was a loving and giving person. Always putting her family first. She worked tirelessly for her community. She was very involved with the high school that Maurice and his brother attended, Saint Joseph Regional High School, Montvale, NJ.

Even though her health was faltering, Nancy DiMino continued to help out at Maurice's High School. She was involved with the Mother's Guild, Parent/Teachers Events and worked side by side with her son when he was the school's Social Chairman. Maurice enjoyed working with his mom at the "Pizza Parties" that the seniors sponsored as fund raisers.

Nancy M. DiMino passed away July 31, 1979 - two months after Maurice's graduation.
Maurice learned from his mom - to give and expect nothing in return.

In recognizing her spirit, Maurice set up the Nancy M. DiMino Scholarship. Where 10% of all sales goes into this fund. And every year a cash scholarship is given to a deserving graduating senior that has exemplified the spirit of "give, expect nothing in return." The recipient is chosen based upon their community involvement, not only at school but also the community at large. Each year this scholarship is given to the graduate's school of choice so that the dollars may be used for tuition, books or other scholastic needs.

Maurice hopes this scholarship will inspire others to do the same. To start a scholarship, a garden or something that leaves this planet a little better.
